Telework Information: This position is eligible for remote-centered hybrid telework up to three days per week; minimum two days per week in the San Francisco office. The San Francisco office is close to public transportation (BART/Muni), restaurants and shopping. Under the general supervision of the Accounting Administrator I, the Accounting Officer (Specialist) performs professional accounting duties of average difficulty in a wide variety of accounting, technical, and support service assignments in the establishment and maintenance of accounts and records in the Employer Assessment Unit. The incumbent is responsible for the establishment, recording, maintenance, reconciliation, and reporting of accounts receivable transactions within the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) accounting systems and the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal), in accordance with the Department's policies and procedures.

This position is located at:

The incumbent works 40 hours per week in a cubicle in an office setting that is temperature controlled, on the tenth floor of an office building with elevator access and artificial lighting. The duties of this position are performed indoors. The employee's workstation is equipped with standard or ergonomic office equipment, as appropriate. Hybrid telework is available as approved by the Department. Travel to the Sacramento area may be required for meetings, trainings, etc.
