Our client, a national and growing corporation in the Chicagoland area, is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team! This Payroll Specialist will be responsible for high-volume, multi-state payroll processing for multiple sites within the organization. Payroll Specialist Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
• Check and validate payroll prior to transmission through the automated and manual banking systems
• Manage pay for annual or semi-annual bonuses including quarterly bonus, holiday bonus and unused vacation
• Review employee records for accuracy of employee data and approval of payroll deductions
• Some experience processing payrolls through large ERP system
• Sort and organize high volumes of Excel data

Payroll Specialist Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred but not required
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Preferred experience with union and non-union payroll
• Experience in Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics or other large ERP system
