Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to continue an independent line of research as indicated by a strong record of publications and current extramural funding commensurate with their rank. We are seeking to expand our research programs focused on behavioral interventions, with a particular emphasis on mental health and/or substance use research. Although specific topic of research is open, we are seeking to complement existing programs related to health equity, maternal-child and lifespan health, and healthy aging. Candidates will also be expected to engage in medical education.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in social or behavioral sciences, public health, an MD, or comparable degree.
  • Our department seeks candidates whose work aligns with the College of Medicine mission, which emphasizes patient-centered care for the underserved and community-engaged research.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who study minority and/or medically underserved populations.
