Apex Systems is recruiting a Test Automation Engineer to support one of our large clients in the Pittsburgh area. This Test Automation Engineer will support the upgrade, testing, and automation of our client's effort. They will also ensure our client's test automation is current as their applications (across multiple business lines) change, and play a role in educating our client's developers on their increased role in software quality.

• Looking for experience or general knowledge of COBOL / mainframe
• Proficient with Object Oriented Programming Languages, Data Structures and Design Patterns - Preferably Java
• Must be able to comprehend complex technological challenges quickly and build innovative solutions
• Proficient in Scripting Languages (Python is a plus)
• Must be comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and working in a fast paced environment
• Proficient working in a Linux/Unix based Environment
• Proficient in using open source test automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, and Test NG
• Selenium, Ranorex, UFT, JMeter are used by our client's team (all tools are integrated within framework but independent of technology).
• Proficient in using BDD frameworks like Cucumber, JBhehave, SpecFlow and Serenity BDD
• Proficient in Testing Automation with Web Apps, APIs, Message Queues, and DBs
• Proficient in Performance Testing with tools like JMeter, Fiddler, Dynatrace
• Experience working with CI Tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Travis CI
• Experience working with DevOps Tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Consul, Vault, Prometheus, Nomad
• Experience working with multiple cloud providers like AWS, Azure & GCP
• Experience working with Relational & NOSQL DBs like SQL Server, Oracle DB, MongoDB
• Experience working with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace
• Experience working with Log Aggregation Tools like Splunk, Sumo Logic
• Experience working with Reporting Tools like Tableau, Grafana
• Experience with Mobile Application Testing & Mobile Test Automation
• Experience with testing Data Warehouse Systems
• Experience working in an Agile & Waterfall SDLC
• Experience using LoadRunner, GIT, VBS scripting, JIRA, and ALM is an added advantage

Additional Notes:

• TOP SKILLS NEEDED: Core Java, Selenium, RestAssured, Cobol, Java coding, Mainframe
• 5+ years of experience in Core Test Automate needed
• Financial experience is a plus
• Bachelors degree in computer science or a related discipline preferred
