Overview

Development of new plumbing fittings and fixtures at the Design Center requires evaluation samples for form and
function. The Test Lab Engineer I is responsible for conducting the testing of fittings and fixtures products,
understanding compliance with design briefs, engineering specifications, and national standards. The Test
Engineer is also responsible for test report documentation along with test stand maintenance, modification and
new/re-designed equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on plumbing fittings & fixtures per established testing standards, recording data, and writing lab reports. Provides detailed analysis of gathered test results, digesting raw data and forming coherent summaries of test outcomes.
• Design and create test lab test equipment and test procedures per guidance from engineers and/or project managers.
• Support development and internal testing for Marketing & Sales Teams.
• Improve laboratory efficiencies and processes in support of product and component testing.
• Verify product compliance with all plumbing codes given guidance.
• Manage data repository for area

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technology, or Associate's degree with previous work experience.
• 3+ years of mechanical, hands-on, laboratory, or shop experience, preferably with a background in plumbing products.
• Must be mechanically inclined with and comfortable working with tools and equipment.
• Good analytical skills for conducting tests, collecting data, and documenting results with minimum supervision. Must be detail-oriented.
• Solid computer experience using Google application software is a must.
• Excellent interpersonal and
  communication skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds. May require bending, pushing, reaching and standing.

Preferred

• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus

Hiring Range

The Hiring Salary Range for this position is $46,000.00 - $73,000.00 annually.

(Salary offer to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
