Summary
Apple Thermal Team is currently looking for a highly motivated and exceptional engineer capable of performing thermal analyses and design of complex systems. The ideal candidate must have strong technical fundamentals and a desire to work in a dynamic team environment. The candidate needs to be cognizant of how thermal design decisions will affect product design, mass production, cost, and total customer satisfaction. Must have exceptional communication skills and be able to handle multiple projects concurrently and prioritize appropriately.

Key Qualifications
Impact product design decisions by providing reliable analysis and thermal insights.
Lead in the design and implementation of thermal solutions; Participate in team design reviews and technology investigations.
Specify and optimize all aspects of thermal control parameters.
Define and guide thermal experiments to characterize thermal materials, components and systems; Analyze thermal test data and prepare reports.
Communicate status and results to cross-functional teams and management.
Travel occasionally to Asia for supplier meetings and factory builds.

Description
-5 or more years of thermal design experience in consumer electronics, datacenters/servers, or similar
-In-depth knowledge of heat sinks, fans and blowers
-Experience with manufacturing, thermal components supply chains and cross-communications between design, ODM and third party vendor teams
- OEM and factory DOE experience highly desirable
-Mastery of CFD simulation and comparable modeling approaches
-Highly motivated individual
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education & Experience
MS or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on Thermal Design, Heat Transfer or Fluid Dynamics.
