-Responsible for the design, installation, operation, and lifecycle maintenance of advanced countermeasures systems primarily at overseas diplomatic facilities.
- Team builds and configures countermeasures to ensure proper functionality and operation.
- Ensures interoperability of highly technical equipment through the management of hardware and software configuration changes.
- Provide technical support for all phases of countermeasures systems which includes pre-installation, installation, and post installation.
- Coordinate all reporting which includes pre- and post-trip technical reports and summaries.
- Assist in the evaluation and development of new countermeasure systems and test equipment, documenting capabilities, identifying potential limitations, and making appropriate recommendations.
- Assist in the training of Department of State personnel on the techniques required to maintain, install and operate specific countermeasures.
- Conduct independent research on emerging technologies with minimal oversight or guidance and is capable of conducting laboratory or field testing.
- Assist in the drafting and review of technical security policies and operational guidelines involving countermeasures systems and facilitates their integration into the Department of State's facilities.
- Assist in gathering information on new technologies or capabilities, and any previous associated research/whitepapers found on those technologies and participates and project design and review meetings.
- Write detailed reports, assist with the generation of user manuals and other written documents as required.
- Coordinate travel and site support.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
- Drafts surveys for new installations of countermeasures at existing facilities.
- Give user training on multiple existing and upcoming systems.
- Ability to read, interpret and create electrical and electromechanical schematics.

Required Skills & Experience
- Active Top Secret clearance
- 2+ years of work experience in power/electrical engineering
- Ability to read, interpret and create electrical and electromechanical schematics, including electrical/mechanical building systems drawings.
- Must have a good understanding of single and triple phase power systems.
- Must be open to occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel, as needed

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Understanding of MATLAB, Python, C++ or other programming languages
- Understanding of the Internet of Things (IOT), security systems and latest associated trends.
