About our Tournament Manager Development Program:
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing, managing, and facilitating the logistics for PPA Tours' new pickleball tournaments. This is a one-year program designed to teach the skills needed to run and market pickleball tournaments across the country, with potential for upward mobility upon completion.

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing, managing, and facilitating the logistics for PPA Tours' new pickleball tournaments. This is a one-year program designed to teach the skills needed to run and market pickleball tournaments across the country, with potential for upward mobility upon completion.
Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Coordination:
- Plan, organize, and execute pickleball tournaments and events from start to finish.
- Develop detailed event plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with venues, vendors, sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the event are arranged.
Participant Management:
- Manage player registration, including setting up registration systems, processing entries, and communicating with participants.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all participants and tournament brackets.
- Address participant inquiries and provide excellent customer service throughout the event.
Logistics and Operations:
- Oversee and assist in all logistical aspects of tournaments, including equipment rental, transportation, and accommodation arrangements.
- Ensure that all tournament facilities are prepared and meet the required standards.
- Assist on-site operations during events, including setup, breakdown, and coordination of staff and volunteers.
Promotion and Communication:
- Work with the marketing team to promote tournaments and events through various channels, including social media, email, and the UPA website.
- Develop and distribute event communications, such as schedules, rules, and updates to participants and stakeholders.
- Create and maintain relationships with sponsors, vendors, and partners to enhance event quality and participant experience.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; must be a "people person."
- Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to new environments.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge effectively.
- Passion for sports, particularly pickleball, is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic understanding of marketing tools.
