Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $65,954 - $78,079 (TA)
Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $76,577 - $85,288 (TA)

Associate Transit Management Analyst: $86,565 - $112,083 (TA)

Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining various computerized tracking systems required to analyze employees, record all log items, or generate reports. The incumbent will design and run queries from Access databases and use Excel spreadsheets to track and analyze various operational and Infrastructure data. Will research assigned topics and provide management with necessary and appropriate briefing and background material. Responsible for processing and distributing various investigative reports. Records and transcribes confidential data and correspondence. Must be proficient in all Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat DC applications. Keeps websites current by uploading documents onto designated webpages. The incumbent will perform day-to-day routine, as well as non-routine, administrative office functions while using good judgment in dealing with confidential matters. Aids management in processing specific requests and updates corresponding databases. Collaborates and assists senior staff and their counterparts across departments and with external vendors, as needed. Handles the distribution of information related to safety, operations, instructions, informative directives, policies, and procedures for operating personnel.

Education and Experience:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II:
  • A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above.

Associate Transit Management Analyst:
  • A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.

Desired Skills:

Selection Method:

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
