Compensation:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $65,954 -$78,079

Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $76,577-$85,288

Associate Transit Management Analyst: $86,565 - $112,083

Responsibilities:
  • Gather information for warranty items and track defects during the life of the warranty
    period for several new operational and capital projects.
    • Support the review and analysis of training requirements to maintain the new R211 fleet,
    develop shop maintenance programs and requirements for inspection cycles moving
    forward.
    • Support department in various capacities as needed for each project.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interact with all
    levels within an organization.
    • Comfortable managing and balancing multiple priorities concurrently to adhere to
    specific deadlines.
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment to develop more
    efficient and effective operations.
    • Familiarity with payroll processing, financial literacy and financial statements.
    • Excellent attention to detail with strong mathematical and calculation skills.
    • Familiarity with NYCT/SIR rules and regulations.

Education and Experience:

Assistant Transit Management Analyst I-II:
  1. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, accounting, transportation planning or urban planning and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, maps, drawings and technical reports; or
  2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, accounting, or urban planning and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the areas described in "1" above.

Associate Transit Management Analyst:
  1. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, accounting, transportation planning or urban planning and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, maps, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
  2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed above and three (3) years of fulltime related experience, of which one (1) year must have been in the transportation industry.

Desired Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word,
PowerBI) including but not limited to the creation and manipulation of functions,
pivot tables, generation of reports, and importing/exporting complex data.
• Ability to learn quickly and focus on high productivity with minimal errors.
• Motivated by critical thinking, data analyzation, and complex problem-solving;

Selection Method:

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
