Job Summary/Basic Function

Establish tutoring sessions and be available during those sessions to assist students as needed.
Classes to be tutored:

• PHIL 100: Intro. to Philosophy
• PHIL 120: Intro. to Ethics
• PHIL 211: Intro. to Logic

Required Qualifications

- PHIL 100 and PHIL 120: Current Philosophy major or minor student in good academic standing during the time of employment, or student who is not a Philosophy major/minor who, after meeting with the course instructor, successfully demonstrates that they can tutor the class(es).
- PHIL 211: Current Philosophy major or minor student in good academic standing during the time of employment, or student who is not a Philosophy major/minor who has successfully completed this course.
-Must be referred by a faculty member in the Philosophy Department.
-Successful completion of three background checks.

Must complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints).

Preferred Qualifications

Job Duties

Assist students as needed during posted hours.
