Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Government, Policy, and Law is seeking tutors to attend tutoring hours and assist students as needed.

Required Qualifications

Must be a current GOVT major in good academic standing during the time of employment.

• Must have taken one or more of the four required Core Course required of a GOVT major:
  • GOVT 111 (Intro to American Government)
  • GOVT 221 (Intro to Comparative Politics)
  • GOVT 231 (Intro to Political Theory)
  • GOVT 251 (Intro to Global Politics)
• Students tutoring must have a B+ or higher in the course(s) they are tutoring.
• Must have approval from Government Supervisor (currently Dr. Adam Lawrence).
• Must complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints).

Job Duties

Attended tutoring hours assigned to and assist students as needed.
