Position Summary

Limited Term Position Management Consultant in the Talent Management Team within UGA's Office of Human Resources.

Manage, consult, and deliver on a variety of human resources policies, procedures, programs, and systems to ensure compliance and consistent application. This role is investigative, analytical, and consultative, and researches details to make informed decisions.

This is a full-time, fully benefited limited-term position to work with a University Human Resources project through Spring 2025. This position may be subject to telecommuting.

  • Assist with high-volume and quick-turnaround position management (i.e., classifications, job descriptions, and organizational development) and recruitment and selection efforts for multiple practitioner groups.
  • Analyze and evaluate job positions, determining the appropriate classification and FLSA (exempt or non-exempt) status.
  • Provide guidance on the resolution of classification concerns.
  • Partner with University Human Resources Compensation and Transactions teams when reviewing position updates (Reclassifications, Reorganizations, Interim Positions, etc.).

  • Evaluate large-scale reorganization efforts, including, but not limited to, providing institutional benchmarking, conducting job analyses, and establishing (and fulfilling) service-level agreements with the campus.
  • Provide professional consulting services to university employees, supervisors, and management regarding human resources related issues.
