The Information Technology Services (ITS) Department has an opening for a Unified Communications (UC) Manager. In this vital role, you will be supporting the city's telephone system, contact center system, and collaboration devices. As the UC manager, you will manage two direct reports who support video conferencing devices. You will be responsible for the oversight of ten resources provided by the UC Managed Services vendor.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Manage voice and data transmissions by deploying, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the workflow of UC and Contact Center systems.
  • Support Webex integration with Council Meetings, allowing residents to virtually interface with their local government.
  • Manage the City's relationships with its wireless and wireline telecommunications providers.
  • Other responsibilities as requested by leadership.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based telecommunications systems.
  • Possess Cisco Unified Communications certifications such as CCNA Voice or CCNP Collaboration.

SALARY

Pay Range: $102,668.80 to $151,694.40/annually.

Hiring Range: $102,668.80 to $131,040/annually.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three years of experience developing, evaluating, using, and maintaining technical system hardware and software.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, math or a related field.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:
  • Five years of experience managing a large and complex telecommunications environment.
  • Five years of experience supporting Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Cisco Contact Center systems (UCCE, PCCE, or UCCX).
  • Five years of experience managing video conferencing and collaboration devices such as Webex, Zoom, Poly or Teams.
  • Five years of experience managing telecommunications providers.
  • Five years of experience managing telecommunications staff such as technicians, administrators, programmers, and project managers.
  • Three years of experience managing capital and expense budgets for UC systems and services.
