The University of Tennessee's Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Administrative Assistant with the College of Nursing and their SMARTSHOTS program. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Length of Assignment: approximately 3 month

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM

Rate of Pay: $18.00/hour

Position Summary

The SmartSHOTS Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Tennessee Department of Health SmartSHOTS Program. This role will involve various tasks, including coordinating information, meeting communications, assisting with financial operations, and supporting grant compliance, contributing to the program's overall success.

Responsibilities:

-Coordinate information, presentations, and communication for various meetings and stakeholders.

-Ensure travel arrangements follow departmental, university, and state guidelines.

-Assist with financial accounting and coordination of the grant budget/expenditures.

-Track and monitor grant expenditures and systems/processes to ensure compliance with grant guidelines.

-Prepare and submit required financial reports.

-Support the development and implementation of systems/processes to ensure grant compliance.

-Coordinate with TDOH, university, and college of nursing regarding state reporting timelines.

-Communicate with team members to ensure program deadlines are met.

-Assist with the implementation of interventions in communities as needed.

-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

- Associates Degree and 1 year of relevant experience.
