Responsibilities:
The Vice President of Finance will play a pivotal role in guiding the financial direction of the company, working closely with senior leadership. This position requires a seasoned finance executive with deep experience in biopharmaceuticals, particularly in clinical late stage development, and a strong track record of financial leadership in complex, publicly traded environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with corporate goals and growth objectives.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee all financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency. Provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting efforts to optimize resource allocation and operational efficiency.
  • Investment and Capital Allocation: Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial analysis to support capital allocation decisions.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Directly manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, and high performance.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate closely with senior executives and department heads to align financial goals with operational objectives and business priorities.
  • External Stakeholder Relations: Serve as a key liaison with investors, analysts, auditors, and other external stakeholders on financial matters.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and accounting functions, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Corporate Governance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate governance principles.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles within the biopharmaceutical industry, with specific expertise in late stage clinical development.
  • Proven track record of success in a publicly traded environment, including experience with SEC reporting requirements and investor relations.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to drive business results through effective financial management and decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives, board members, and external stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence in financial management.
