Web Developer

Procom Services is seeking a skilled Web Developer for our client in San Antonio, TX. This will start as a 12-month contract opportunity. This role involves analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web-based software programs based on customer requirements, using development standards and the software development lifecycle process.

Job Description:

As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for identifying requirements for digital transformation, planning third-party integrations, and developing native code. Your daily tasks will include coding, testing, documenting, handling errors, and improving performance throughout the development lifecycle. You will demonstrate technical expertise and programming skills, develop new coding skills as needed, establish repeatable guidelines and scalable standards, and lead a cross-disciplinary team to deliver solutions that meet business, technical, and user requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Analyze requirements for digital transformation.
• Plan and execute third-party integrations.
• Develop native code and contribute to build vs. buy decisions.
• Code, test, document, handle errors, and optimize performance throughout the development lifecycle.
• Demonstrate technical expertise and programming skills for the assigned code base.
• Develop new coding skills as required.
• Establish repeatable guidelines and scalable standards.
• Lead a cross-disciplinary team to deliver solutions that meet business, technical, and user requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field from an accredited university, or equivalent professional technical programming experience.
• Subject Matter Expert experience in web-based IT solutions including Java and/or web programming, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, web services, mobile, Angular, React, React Native, VueJS, JSON, and HTML web development.
• Expertise in relational database design (i.e., Oracle, DB2, etc.), including SQL queries, PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, DB2.
• Experience in application development including APIs, microservices, and modern technology architectures.

Location:
Onsite (5 days/week) in San Antonio, TX.
