Apple seeks a technical leader to program manage our groundbreaking wireless connectivity chipsets to meet performance, quality and schedule requirements for Apple products. We are responsible for multi-functional team coordination, communication and representation across the Wireless systems and silicon engineering ecosystem from concept to production.
Technical background in Wireless systems bring-up, validation, FW and integration will be key to your success in this role. Ideally, you will also have Engineering program management experience in some aspect of wireless systems validation. Together, we will work in a multifaceted engineering environment where sophisticated multi-tasking skills and real-time crisis management are all desired strengths.
Description
- Work on a Program Management team responsible for driving technical issue resolution to enable on-time silicon to meet daring product schedules of state-the-art silicon.
- Interface and drive resolution of wireless connectivity Silicon, Module, and Firmware issues within multi-functional teams: Design, Verification, Validation, Technology, System/Platforms, Hardware, and Software.
- Drive the integration of Wireless connectivity Silicon into the respective products and lead issue triage and problem resolution during NPI builds.
- Work with multi-functional EPM teams to align the Silicon/SW and Product feature roadmaps.
- Work with multi-functional teams to manage the post-silicon system activities and pro-actively communicate with RF EPM and product teams on any development risks to the product.
- Work with Wireless SOC Test Station/Factory Support EPM on resolving silicon related issues.
- Convert large amounts of data into a clear story to communicate to multi-functional teams and organizations at all levels.
- Focus silicon teams on meeting schedules and unblocking technical issues by pulling together the right multi-functional technical expert(s) to resolve issues with an emphasis on data-driven decisions.
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Drive simple and effective processes from "lessons learned" to avoid quality and execution issues early in the development cycle.
- Disciplined tracking, organizing and reporting of program risks, status, and options for resolution to executive management.
- Coordination and management with other organizations (Systems, SW, Ops) to support connectivity silicon RMA's during NPI and build phases.
