2025 Internship - Business Analyst, Inventory Strategy

JOB SUMMARY:

Assists in performing the necessary duties as related to supporting business growth by using business intelligence software and tools to mine complex data, identify historic trends, and visualize large datasets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with analysis via various data-mining and statistical techniques to gain insights from data to support business objectives.
• Collaborate cross functionally on various projects related to inventory strategy control
• Assist in collecting, analyzing and interpreting large volumes of data while leveraging tools to develop and maintain curated data sets for use in analysis.
• Will learn how to develop data reports measuring daily business activities in PowerBI, Alteryx, and other tools using query languages and formula libraries such as SQL and DAX
• Will learn how to identify new data sources to further inform market intelligence and pricing strategy
• Work to improve data quality within TAPD by assisting Data Governance efforts
• Gather information to assist in development of recommendations to the business for new initiatives to support business objectives
• Interface with other business professionals throughout the organization to embrace cross functional growth in inventory analytics capabilities

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or other related field

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work in a team environment to meet department level objectives
• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint proficiency
• Statistical Analysis
• Use of Analysis Tools
• Use of Power BI preferred
• Strong skills with MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
