Adolescent Assistant Program Manager

This position has overall responsibility for coordinating and supervising the Adolescent MC and Adolescent MHT staff at the adolescent campus. Responsibilities include staffing considerations, facilitating and implementing effective communication from leadership to front-line staff as well as inter-departmentally, and holding MC and MHT staff accountable related to job performance. Additionally, this position is responsible for new hire orientation, 90-day reviews, and annual reviews of all full-time MC, MHT staff at the Adolescent campus. The position works in tandem with the MC Supervisor/Scheduler related to supervision of the MHT staff. The MC Supervisor/Scheduler plays a direct role of supervision over the PRN MHT staff due to their work-site including the adult or adolescent campus. The Program Coordinators (PC) are supervised in tandem with the Adolescent Program Manager.

In addition to the administrative and communicative responsibilities associated with the adult MHT staff, the Assistant Adolescent Program Manager has patient specific responsibilities. Those responsibilities include the overall implementation of programming adherence, patient safety related concerns, and general milieu management. This position is also responsible for the "on-boarding" of all new patients to the Adolescent RTC program; to include a brief introduction and "check-in" of all new patients on the day of admission by the Assistant Program Manager or the PC. This position works with the Program Manager to address any program related updates or areas of identified need.

The Assistant Adolescent Program Manager carries a caseload between 3 - 5 patients depending on clinical need and is responsible for a minimum of 1 individual therapy session and 1 family therapy session (if indicated) per week per assigned patient. Additionally, this position will be responsible for assigned group coverage and covers for ongoing group coverage staffing deficiencies (including evening IOP groups).

Qualifications

Education: Must have a master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or other related fields.

Experience: Must have at least 3 - 5- years direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy with adults. For specialized issues or treatment modalities, training must be specific to these; abuse reactive, sexual offending, substance abuse, and sexual trauma, vocational, Must have knowledge of human development over the life span. Must have supervision experience.

License/Certification: Must have current license from the State of Florida, such as LCSW, LMFT, LMFTI, LMHC OR LMHCI
Skills:
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills in order to document assessments, treatment planning and interventions into a meaningful document. Must be able to communicate with members of the interdisciplinary treatment team, managed care representatives, adults and resident families in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must have knowledge of individual, group and family therapy dynamics and techniques as related to cultural, social, economic, communication and role expectations within family systems.
  • Must have knowledge of clinical skills to assess treatment dynamics accurately and develop effective treatment strategies within the overall treatment plan.
  • Must have proven supervisory skills.
  • Must have leadership abilities.
  • Must be flexible.
  • Must have a driving record that meets La Amistad Behavioral Health Services policy.

Physical Requirements: Minimal. May require response to crisis intervention.
