Job Summary

The Epic Business Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing Epic systems within our healthcare organization. This includes provisioning user access, maintaining provider records, and managing interface warnings and errors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare IT and excellent problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities include Epic User Access Provisioning: Set up and manage user accounts, ensuring appropriate access levels for all users based on role and department. Provider Record Maintenance: Build and update provider records in the Epic system to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.

Experience and Education

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, computer science or other field with HIT certification.
  • Previous exposure to healthcare and/or electronic records is desired but not required.
Job Duties
  • Provide workflow assistance, trouble-shooting and support for mission critical HSIR systems with assistance.
  • Provide on-call after-hours support.
  • Develop and maintain competency on pertinent applications and technologies within a specified timeframe.
  • Participate in system maintenance by utilizing analytical skills for issue resolution, enhancement development, project participation and version upgrades with oversight.
  • Follow change management procedure for any system changes.
  • Assist in testing of new applications and changes to existing applications ensuring integrity and quality of data while providing and/or assisting in training of system users.
  • Assist in developing appropriate process/policy documentation.
  • Manage multiple tasks/work on multiple projects simultaneously with guidance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
