Team Overview

The WC ADS environment management team supports the creation, management of all test lanes required for SIT, UAT, and Pre-Production runs. The team manages about 20 different Database environments in Development, SIT, UAT and Pre-Prod. There are multiple test environments running in Netezza, SQL Server, Exadata, Hadoop technologies. The team is responsible for setting up the environment, refresh the data from production, load input files, run batches end-to-end in test lanes, and provide the output/results to the various test teams. In addition, the team is responsible for code deployments, source code control repository maintenance, assist with release management activities and managing the infrastructures in the lower lanes.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and have prior experience managing and supporting multiple environments.

Responsibilities:

Assists with developing and stream lining the current batch process. Monitor batches, investigate and resolve issues, assist development, QA and UAT teams for Code deployments, batch execution and data analysis support. Works closely with upstream and downstream applications and a geographically distributed team.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience working in a production support or environment support role
• Strong SQL skills, Shell Scripting and AUTOSYS knowledge
• Minimum 8+ years of experience with at least one RDBMS Netezza (preferred) SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata
• At least 2 years of experience in supporting a Hadoop environment
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Self-starter, comfortable in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Strong debugging skills - SQL, Shell scripting
• Data analysis skills using SQL, Excel, Shell scripts
• Responsible for the review and analysis of complex application issues
• Fulfilling ad hoc data requests, application configuration or customization before release to end users.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science
