ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. ECU Health Medical Center has achieved Magnet® designation twice and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation and outpatient health services to a 29-county region that is home to more than 1.4 million people.

Position Summary

Position assists in the preparation and completion of budgets for the ECU Health facilities. Position will also assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of the decision support cost system. Position will work with service line executives and business liaisons in the development and refinement of budget and cost in those respective service lines, etc. Position will be a go to person for service line executives for financial reporting and analysis. Position also provides support in the development of management reports and data analyses to aid Administration in decision-making processes.

Minimum Requirements

Four year college degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Decision Science, Economics, or related required. 3-4 years experience in accounting/business field within a hospital or industry required. An emphasis in computer application development preferred. Progressively responsible management experience in accounting desired: one additional year of college education in accounting or business may be substituted for one year of required experience (MBA and/or CPA desirable) with a maximum substitution of two years.
