Who you are:
The Application Project Manager is charged with the overall responsibility for the management of large information systems implementations. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters. Analyze hospital needs for information systems; assist in the selection and development of systems. Provides mentoring for Application Analyst(s).
What you'll do:
1. Develop and manage all assigned project following the project management methodology
2. Document Scope, Milestone, tasks, risks and regularly update project status
3. Develop application functional specifications and data requirements
4. Manage large, complex information technology projects and budgets
5. Assist in the prioritization of programming, network and desktop workload based on project plans and/or user needs
6. Consult with Department Directors as to their IS needs. Serve as an IS department liaison
7. Manage relationships with software vendors
8. Develop feasibility studies; Perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed IS projects
9. Performs similar or related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
• Bachelor's degree in MIS, computer science, Healthcare, or equivalent experience in related field .
• PMP Certification desired. CAPM or Project + certification required within 12 months of accepting the role.
