Holly Hill Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited psychiatric hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. We provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient behavioral health and mental health services to children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Director of Nursing will provide assistance to the Director of Nursing in administrative and clinical supervision over Nursing Services including effective utilization of the nursing process to provide quality patient care, establish standards of practice, and provide effective fiscal management.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN required.
Experience:
  • At least 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health, psychiatric, mental health, and/or rehabilitation nursing.
  • At least 3 years supervisory/management experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
  • North Carolina State Registered Nurse License
  • Current North Carolina Driver's License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • CPI Certification
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Management skills with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Able to develop and implement policies and procedures Knowledge of psychiatric, medical, and rehabilitative procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable State and federal regulations and JCAHO standards.
  • Knowledge of appropriate nursing assessment, diagnoses, & interventions with patients.
  • Knowledge of milieu management.
  • Ability to direct subordinates in the performance of their duties.
  • Ability to accurately administer medication and monitor side-effects.
  • Ability to safely implement Special Treatment Procedures.
  • Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation.
