Pediatric Psychologist. Le Bonheur Children's Hospital-University of Tennessee Health Science Center Department of Pediatrics has a full-time opening beginning July 1, 2021. We are looking to fill the following position:

  • Pediatric psychologist specializing in adjustment to health issues with a specific focus on diabetes and Disorders of Sex Differentiation (DSD). This position will involve specialized health psychology services in the clinic setting. Thus, the successful candidate will demonstrate skills in consultation and liaison to subspecialty physicians and working with culturally diverse pediatric populations specifically in the areas of behavioral management of diabetes and DSD.


  • Also, the successful candidate will be appointed as an academic faculty at the rank of clinical assistant or associate professor (commensurate with qualifications and experience) in the department of Pediatrics. Although this is a primarily clinical position, opportunities for research and teaching exist and are encouraged and supported.


Qualifications

This position requires a Ph.D. in clinical child psychology (including an APA accredited internship) and a Tennessee license (or eligibility). Specialized fellowship training in child health psychology is required.
