Assistant/Associate Professor - Statistician for WVU School of Nursing

The West Virginia University School of Nursing invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position to:

• Teach applied graduate level statistics courses using SPSS or similar software, such as SAS, and Stata
• Prepare and evaluate the quantitative component of the nursing PhD qualifying exam
• Consult with faculty, PhD students, and DNP students on study/project design, quantitative methodology, preparation and management of data, data analysis and interpretation, and reporting of results, including review of manuscripts
• Collaborate on grant proposals and participate in research teams to write grant proposals with a focus on crafting statistical sections
• Provide methodological and statistical support for funded projects
• Serve on PhD dissertation and DNP student project committees as needed
• Serve on graduate curriculum and graduate program committees

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Biostatistics or related field with a strong foundation in statistical theory and extensive experience in applying advanced statistical methods to biomedical or nursing science research. Experience working with health data, artificial intelligence (AI), and cutting-edge technological tools is preferred.

Rank, tenure, and salary will be commensurate with the individual's professional background and experience.
