Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Will Coordinate Performance Improvement Activities at Lincoln, providing the expertise required to help individual departments and their Pl leads to identify opportunities for improvement, use the IHI methodology-Model for Improvement, to help them outline, charter, and implement change ideas. This position works as a liaison between the departmental leads and Executive leadership to achieve organizational goals and improvement efforts. This position also is responsible for Capacity building in Quality at Lincoln. This position directly reports to the Chief Quality Officer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports the Chief Quality Officer in creating the PI plan for the Institution.
Works with the PI leads in the departments to set up their goals, identify performance improvement initiatives, and perform tests of change to help them achieve their goals.
Provides PI assistance/guidance to the Chief of Service, Department Head & Committee Chairperson.
Assists in the development of Departmental PI Plans and Annual PI Assessments.
Oversees creation of balanced score cards and aligns the improvement initiatives with NYC H+H strategic pillars and goals.
Works with the Chief Quality Officer in building Capacity among the Workforce in Performance Improvement techniques.
Works effectively with team members in the Quality Department to ensure timely submission of reports to the HWQAPI committee as well as the Governing Body.
Leads facilitate PI meetings and presentations.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Quality Officer.
Minimum Qualifications
* Qualification for Central Office.
# Qualification for Health Care Facility.
1. a. A Baccalaureate Degree in Public Administration, Public Health or Health Care Specialization; and,
b. Five* years or four# years of increasingly responsible experience in hospital administration, with particular emphasis on development and evaluation of health care delivery services; or,
2. a. A master's degree in public administration, Public Health or Health Care Specialization; and,
b. Four* years or three# years of increasingly responsible experience in hospital administration, with particular emphasis on development and evaluation of health care delivery services.
