Associate Director of Business Development

Insight Global is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Associate Director to assist our renewable energy client's Project Development team in the East region. This role will be responsible for leading development on a pipeline of solar and hybrid projects across markets. This role leads existing projects in their development pipeline, as well as originate new prospects to grow their pipeline. The ideal candidate will be an experienced developer interested in taking on more responsibility for project outcomes by leading investment opportunities across multiple markets.

Oversee project tasks and work closely with experts in various fields like engineering, real estate, and marketing.
Reduce risks for large-scale solar and solar storage projects.
Help the early-stage and land acquisition teams find and evaluate new projects in the East Region.
Work with the team and third parties on all development steps, including due diligence, site control, legal matters, and community relations.
Track project progress toward development goals and key project milestones.
Manage project schedules and budgets.
Up to 30% travel should be anticipated to conduct site visits and manage existing development projects.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in business, Engineering or other related field.
7+ years of business development experience.
Renewable Development experience.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Utility scale renewables and energy storage development experience
Experience with interconnection procedures in PJM and Southeastern markets
Master's degree
Wind Experience
