Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I (Supervisory), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs complex analytical work to protect public health and the environment by fostering sustainable pest management (SPM) practices. The focus of the work is on contract and grant administration; graphic design and evaluation of online outreach and education resources; planning, supporting, and engaging in education and outreach activities intended to promote applicant/user/public awareness or participation; Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulatory compliance and other Information Technology Branch (ITB) priorities; and administrative tasks for the Integrated Pest Management Branch (IPM) including personnel coordination, budget, and consultative services to Branch management.

The AGPA makes recommendations and provides advice to staff and management. The AGPA will also consider, apply, and demonstrate DPR's organizational values of Accountability, Integrity, Collaboration, and Continuous Improvement when carrying out the department's mission and vision.

Working Conditions
The incumbent will work in a high-rise building, under artificial light, and sit for moderate periods of time. Incumbent will use a computer up to eight hours per day. Occasional overnight travel may be required and travel to different areas of the state by automobile may be required.

Note: This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position's designated headquarters location, as indicated on their duty statement, at their own expense.

DPR headquarters is located in the CalEPA Building at 1001 I Street in Sacramento, CA. The Integrated Pest Management Branch supports DPR's mission through grant project funding and oversight, education and outreach, and pesticide use data analysis and reporting activities.
