Shermco U.S. is seeking a Billing Specialist

BILLING SPECIALIST **(Position based in Irving, TX)**

JOB SUMMARY: Coordinate and perform the Company's invoicing processes and ensure accurate, effective and timely billing to maximize company revenues.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: The following essential job duties must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:
  1. Effectively and professionally communicate on a regular basis with all Sales Staff, Production Managers and Accounting department to obtain and provide necessary information to facilitate timely and accurate billing and collections.
  2. Work in collaboration with sales staff and production administration to accurately calculate the billable revenue for all completed and partial-bill jobs.
  3. Create and direct the creation of invoices in Navision on a daily basis and ensure accurate submission to customers via their preferred method.
  4. Carefully review customer PO's and bill-to information to verify information for accurate billing.
  5. Update customer bill-to records as new information is obtained.
  6. Receive credit requests from customers, seek required approval, and issue credit memos as applicable.
  7. Be responsible for ensuring that completed work is billed to customer as quickly as possible.
  8. Recommend as appropriate improvement opportunities for better billing processes.
  9. Work in ERP systems to submit and follow up on invoices & payments
  10. Other Duties will include assisting others on the team: creating site addresses, contact customer on past due invoices.
WORK SCHEDULE
  • Able to reliably work a typical Monday through Friday, 40-hour workweek; occasional longer workweeks may be required during heavy billing periods. Must be able to work every monthly close week (overtime must be pre-approved).
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or GED; some college a plus.
  • 2+ year related experience in an Accounting, Collections, Sales or Billing department preferred.
  • Experience with 3 rd party billing.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
  • Computer proficiency on PC based software, including MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and Internet navigation.
  • Working knowledge of automated accounting systems or ERP (Ariba, Open Invoice, etc); Microsoft Business Central experience highly desirable.
  • Ability to accurately perform detailed numerical work and to make arithmetic computations rapidly. Attention to detail is key.
  • Ability to make professional phone calls periodically to customers.
  • Possess professional interpersonal communication (written & oral), skills and demeanor. Communication is key with our customers and others on the team.
  • Well-organized, able to multi-task, and work with limited direct supervision.
  • Fluency in reading, writing and understanding English in a clearly communicated manner.


Physical and Sensory Requirements

The responsibilities of this position require certain physical and sensory abilities, which must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to use hands and fingers repetitively on a keyboard and use a mouse.
  • Ability to clearly see and view the details of words, tables and images on a computer screen for long periods of time.
