As a Business Analyst, you will drive strategic insights through research and analytics, enabling the organization to achieve success in year-round business initiatives and goals. Your primary focus will be on the ticketing business vertical, where you will lead reporting efforts, develop innovative ticket pricing strategies, and contribute significantly to our industry-leading demand forecasting and dynamic pricing initiatives. As a Business Analyst, you will drive strategic insights through research and analytics, enabling the organization to achieve success in year-round business initiatives and goals. You will work with leading technologies to continuously improve and develop analytics solutions for our data driven organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to):
The Business Analyst position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following:
- Oversee the creation and management of essential ticketing reports, implementing automation and data quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Analyze fan ticket usage patterns to make recommendations on improving the fan experience
- Continuously observe ticket market dynamics to recommend strategic changes in ticketing pricing and inventory usage
- Develop robust sales forecasting solutions to enable organization to optimize sell-through and enhance marketing efforts
- Develop and maintain accurate and actionable data models for ticketing reporting and analytics use cases
- Generate insights and predictive models aimed at improving customer retention strategies
- Effectively communicate insights and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Serve as domain expert for the ticketing business unit within the analytics department
- Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Maintain professionalism when communicating with internal and external contacts
- Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- The ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and develop solutions quickly and effectively
- Will adjust work schedule to meet departmental demands
- Will keep appropriate information confidential
- Will accept other responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position. Such responsibilities shall be incorporated into the position description if they are ongoing.
- Bachelor's degree in data-intensive discipline (information sciences, statistics, economics, computer science, etc.)
- Minimum of 1-2 years of business analytics or related experience
- Experience performing analysis on a data warehouse or large relational databases using SQL queries
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices
- Experience in troubleshooting and assessing data issues, with ability to recommend and/or implement solutions
- Experience in automating and creating reports using Python
- Experience with interacting and retrieving data from APIs
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of SaaS data visualization solutions, including but not limited to Qlik Sense and PowerBI
- Experience with version control systems such as Git is preferred
- Working knowledge of statistics and machine learning and understanding of how to apply to real world opportunities
- Demonstrated experience in building and deploying machine learning or statistical models is preferred
- Proactive attitude towards learning, constantly seeking out new knowledge and skills
- Entrepreneurial drive to iterate and improve business processes and solutions
- Exhibits strong perseverance and resilience, consistently tackling challenges head-on and finding solutions even in the face of adversity
- Detail-oriented, holding a high personal standard for completeness and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and effectively adjust to rapidly changing market and business conditions
- Familiarity with stadiums/arenas and the live events space is preferred
