Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Business Intelligence Analyst to support finance and operational service lines by developing and maintaining reports, scorecards, and dashboards. the role involves analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, synthesizing results into meaningful presentations, and ensuring the accuracy of data provided to management. The analyst will develop a robust understanding of the business area they support and maintain respectful, collaborative relationships across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create, edit, and maintain financial and operational reports by leveraging the system tools
  • Collaborate with finance and operations to develop performance measurement processes, including database development, KPI creation, reports, and dashboard deployment
  • Manage complex datasets by aggregating, cleaning, and validating data from multiple sources
  • Engage regularly with leadership and staff to discuss existing data products, assess unmet needs, and identify enhancements
  • Work with the analytic team to develop and cross-train on analytic products, including regular data mining and report automation
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports, scorecards, and dashboards that provide organizational insights
  • Prepare and present data on a daily, weekly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Oversee the accuracy of reporting and analyzed data provided to management
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of Data Analysts across departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant professional experience in a related field such as; Business, health care, engineering, information systems, finance, statistics or mathematics discipline, or
  • Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant professional experience in a related field such as; Business, health care, engineering, information systems, finance, statistics or mathematics discipline
  • Professional experience with reporting and systems software (IBM Cognos preferred), Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Lists; Access preferred), SQL (Snowflake preferred), and Tableau (or Power BI)
  • Certification in quality improvement, business analytics, business intelligence, or data science is preferred

  • Ability to author, present, and explain technical information to diverse types of audiences
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands
  • Communicate to others in person, on the telephone, and electronically
  • Occasionally move equipment such as a personal computer or display weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening
  • Utilize computer for extensive hours
