Business Planning & Operations Lead/ Program Manager Responsibilities


  • Provide coordination and management support for information technology (IT) projects at Facebook.

  • Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects.

  • Plan project stages of the technical product lifecycle from analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases for company products and projects.

  • Identify gaps in the existing systems and processes, come up with solutions, and define meaningful metrics to meet company goals.

  • Prioritize products and projects based on impact level and leverage data to drive prioritization decisions.

  • Foster a culture of data driven decision-making throughout the entire product life cycle.

  • Map dependencies and relationship between products, projects, and technologies throughout stages of product modification and upgrades.

  • Identify upcoming risks, issues, and bottlenecks, and resolve cross-team issues.

  • Create better, more efficient workflows to support the development and execution of technical projects.

  • Provide day-to-day coordination and regular communication to stakeholders.

  • 20% domestic travel required.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, or a related field (foreign equivalent accepted) and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

  • Requires 60 months of experience involving the following:

  • 1. Working in a Business Operations, Analytics or Planning role (e.g. Sales Operations, Sales Finance and/or Strategy/Operations Consulting)

  • 2. Proactively identifying areas of opportunities in alignment with business and sales team priorities, and working on execution to drive revenue for the company

  • 3. Drive the vision for the areas/products you own, define requirements and influence teams and stakeholders to get their buy-in and resourcing

  • 4. Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to drive revenue, improve agent and customer experience

  • 5. Define, analyze, track and improve metrics to inform the success of the product/initiatives

  • 6. Working independently, managing multiple projects/programs simultaneously and driving initiatives in a cross-functional environment

  • 7. Stakeholder management- including managing multiple partners simultaneously

  • 8. Translating business requirements into technical, engineering requirements

  • 9. Presenting technical content to general audiences, and

  • 10. Conflict resolution and bringing alignment across different organizations and stakeholders.
