In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in supporting the development of Configuration Management in Seats USA business unit (SSUSA) with respect to Change Management processes as well as supporting the Change Control Board. Main Function Responsibilities:
A) Participates in the analysis of contract requirements with respect to Change Management in the bid phase of programs.
B) Tailors the CMS and OEM/customer requirements for a program and establishes, implements, and maintains the program Configuration Management Plan
C) Manages the flow-down of configuration management requirements and ensures follow-up with sub-contractors and suppliers.
D) Defines, organizes, and steers the Configuration Control Board including pre- and post-CCB activities.
E) Participates in Master Engineering Reviews (MER).
F) Performs or contributes to configuration audits (Functional Configuration Audits (FCA), Physical Configuration Audits (PCA).
G) Monitor and analyze changes in the organization's environment (standards, customer/OEM) which may impact the CMS and develop solutions to improve processes in accordance with such requirements.
H) Work alongside the Configuration Manager to enhance the current Change process, ensuring Configuration rules are adhered to, during the change process flow.
I) Support Program Managers as they develop their programs, ensuring local and global Configuration Management procedures are observed and complied with.
J) Support the implementation of a Windchill based PLM tool. Support relating functions to ensure that CM is effectively developed, applied as a solid foundation to the PLM system.
K) Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel specifictity
International and/or Domestic travel required; 5-10%

This position contributes to our vision by ensuring that all changes in configuration management are meticulously planned, controlled, and implemented. This role supports the development and tailoring of Configuration Management Systems (CMS) to meet both internal and external requirements, which is essential for maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency within the organization.

By managing the flow of configuration management requirements and leading the Configuration Control Board, the Change Manager ensures that all changes are executed in a controlled and systematic manner. This contributes to the organization's vision by fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and adaptability-key factors in staying competitive and meeting customer expectations.

Additionally, the Change Manager's role in supporting the implementation of a Windchill-based PLM tool and enhancing the Change process ensures that your company remains at the forefront of technological advancements and industry best practices. This proactive approach to managing changes not only mitigates risks but also drives the organization towards achieving its strategic goals, ultimately contributing to the overall vision of operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Candidate skills & requirements
A. Education & Qualification:
• Requires a minimum of a Bachelor degree in a related engineering field such as Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Information or an accepted equivalent or 6 years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree.

B. Work Experience/Technical knowledge:
• In addition to meeting the education requirement, requires an additional 5 years of experience.
• Level 6 CMII Certified or ability to obtain certification quickly
• Working knowledge of engineering documentation release and approval processes.
• User of CATIA V5 / SmarTeam (or other PLM systems).
• Aerospace or automotive experience with a knowledge of Digital Muckups (DMU).
• Knowledge of Boeing and Airbus specifications.

C. Professional Skills:
• Requires excellent communication skills that are needed to influence and convince other areas of new requirements or updates to current data
• Technical capabilities should include moderately complex problem solving, root cause analysis, mechanical design practices & drawing standards, project management, and configuration management at a moderately complex level.
• Ability to plan and think strategically and resolve problems.
• Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
• Ability to read and review written communication.
• Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.

D. Behavioral Skills:
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to work autonomously

E. Desirable Aspects:
• Aircraft seating development experience
