Director, Change Management

We are currently seeking a Director, Change Management to join our team. This position is responsible for developing and implementing change management governance and strategies to support the successful execution of enterprise level cross-departmental programs. With strong leadership, communication, and change management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams, this position develops stakeholder analysis, change and communication plans, and leads change adoption to achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and execute a comprehensive change management governance for the enterprise and lead the creation of change and communication plans to support projects, programs, and initiatives.

• Aligns change management plans and activities with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives by partnering with internal stakeholders and recognizing the systems, behaviors, and processes most impacted by the change.

• Serves as an advocate and educate stakeholders on change management as a critical pillar of strategic development at enterprise-scale.

• Assesses the impact of changes on people, processes, and technology to identify potential risks and challenges. Create feedback mechanism for resolutions.

• Identifies key stakeholders impacted by change and develop engagement strategies to build stakeholder support and commitment.

• Establishes mechanisms for gathering and incorporating stakeholder feedback throughout the change process.

• Develops and execute effective communication plans to ensure stakeholders are informed, engaged, and supportive of change initiatives.

• Crafts clear and compelling messages tailored to different stakeholder groups.

• Develops and implement metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of change management activities and the overall success of change initiatives.

• Conducts post-change assessments to capture lessons learned and inform future change management efforts.

• Partners with key business leaders to evaluate process improvements that encourage lasting change effectiveness.

• Works closely with project managers, program managers, and other EPMO leaders to integrate change management activities into project and program plans.

• Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to change management team members and other stakeholders involved in change initiatives.

• Promotes a culture of continuous improvement by capturing and sharing best practices and lessons learned from change initiatives.

• Drives process improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of change management practices.

• Collaborates with Human Resources to align change management efforts with HR policies, performance management, and employee development programs.

• Makes hiring decisions through a targeted selection process of behavioral interviewing to obtain future leaders.

• Coaches, mentors, and leads leaders through clear expectations and line of sight to business strategy with solid understanding of operations.

• Provides employees with timely, candid, and constructive feedback, endeavors to develop employees to their full potential, recognizes and rewards employees for accomplishments, conducts timely one-on-ones, and prepares and conducts annual performance reviews.

• Builds inclusive and collaborative partnerships across multiple departments, with various approaches to influence and plan work around common goals.

• Makes decisions and communicates in a way that connects people, tasks, and resources to achieve business objectives.

• Supports the business by building high performing teams, coaching leaders through team development, and achievement of business objectives.

• Sets high standards and expectations for achieving goals. Develops and executes plans with input from multiple teams, establishing accountability and clarity. Creates measurements and performance indicators for monitoring progress and holding teams accountable to achieving business results.

• Recognizes the need for change across the department, oversees the development of change plans, looks for continuous improvement opportunities, monitors internal and external business conditions, and reports progress. Takes accountability to implement change, create momentum, and influence others through intentional communication.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, organizational development, change management, or related field required.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in change management, with a proven track record of leading and managing complex change initiatives related to enterprise impacting projects and initiatives.
