A Snapshot of Your Day
Siemens Energy gas services division is currently looking for someone to be part of a global team of engineers and scientists in a technology department for Gas Turbine technologies. The purpose of this team is to develop new ceramic and coating materials, technologies, and testing methods for the stationary gas turbine but also for the energy transition in other areas of the business. For the development you will maintain contacts to internal business partners but also to external suppliers for development and manufacturing like powder manufacturers, advanced coating technologies and outside coating vendors. The role requires managing and implementing innovative technologies during their introduction via qualification, industrialization, and production. You will be able to research and verify the possibility of public funding and how this applies to internal funding for your R&D Project.
How You'll Make an Impact
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

How You'll Make an Impact
- Find creative and innovative solutions for the coating of hot gas components in highly efficient gas turbines.
- Position is a key technical interface across all parts in the ceramic and coating value chain between design, manufacturing, quality and strategic procurement and marketing.
- Collaborate with different departments as well as internal and external suppliers to develop customer requirements for new ceramic and coating technologies.
- The role requires working in the shopfloor in the coating booth.
- Develop new coating technologies for stationary gas turbines including their operation with hydrogen as well as for new applications in the field of energy transition technologies.
- Support for the introduction of new coating technologies.
- Collaborate and work with global stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's or a Master's/ advanced degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or natural sciences.
- Open to considering graduates with relevant project work or internship experience.
- Preferable professional experience in ceramic coatings- corrosion coatings-heat insulation coatings-energy production desirable. Candidates with more experience can be considered for higher level.
- Experienced in using MS Office software (Word, Power Point, Access, Excel).
- Proficient in English communication (read, write, speak).
- Previous experience of working in international teams desirable.
- Willingness to travel internationally for business purpose.
