Job Responsibilities:
Position Summary: The role of the Community Reintegration Project Analyst is crucial in facilitating community reintegration initiatives for individuals transitioning back into society following incarceration. This position entails thorough data analysis, trend identification, leadership in reentry projects, collaboration with a diverse range of community resources, organizations, and law enforcement agencies, as well as providing valuable insights to enhance programs and services that foster successful reintegration outcomes

Essential Functions:
  • Researching and writing grants to support the Milwaukee Reentry Council and project analyst position.
  • Research Investigator on Aging & Reentry Project.
  • Provide oversight of the WCS Community Advisory Board for the Residential Reentry Centers
  • Provide oversight of the Milwaukee Reentry Council.
  • Support the efforts and projects of Community Building Milwaukee as needed.
  • Stay current on research, best practices, and trends in the field of community reintegration to inform program development.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to community reintegration programs and outcomes.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and key insights to inform decision-making and program improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with program managers, stakeholders, and community partners to develop strategies for effective reintegration services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of reintegration programs, tracking progress towards established goals and objectives.
  • Stay current on research, best practices, and trends in the field of community reintegration to inform program development.
  • Attend all staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform all other duties as directed.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Volunteer to serve on agency committees
  • Instill a culture of connection/ belonging with staff to the agency as a whole.

Job Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The Community Reintegration Project Analyst should have a strong foundation of knowledge encompassing the justice system, challenges of reentry post-incarceration, community resources, data analysis, research methodologies, laws, grant writing, and fundraising. An array of skills is vital, including analytical abilities, effective communication, project management, research proficiency, strategic thinking, and problem-solving expertise. The role also demands various abilities such as collaboration with diverse stakeholders, efficient task prioritization, flexibility in addressing reintegration challenges, empathy towards individuals transitioning back into society, and a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in community reintegration efforts.

Minimal Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or Public Administration.
  • Experience in data analysis, research, or program evaluation.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of reentry issues, justice systems, and community resources is preferred.
  • Must have 2 years of previous work experience in corrections or related field.
  • Must clear a federal and state criminal record and caregiver background check.
  • Requires auto and insurance.

Work Relationship and Scope:

Reports directly to the CRS Administrator. The employee will have contact with staff, people involved with services, corrections representatives, which will include liaison, agents and other professionals.

Working Conditions: Work is performed within an office setting where there is consistent staff activity and community contact. Requires handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Demands:


The position primarily entails office-based tasks with limited physical exertion. Responsibilities include extended periods of desk work for data analysis and research, participating in meetings and events that may involve standing or walking, traveling within the community for stakeholder engagement, lifting materials as needed, and utilizing office equipment. While travel and event attendance are part of the role, the overall physical demands are manageable and centered around standard office duties.
