Job Summary:

The Compensation Analyst is an entry level position that provides administrative and analytical support

to the compensation consulting group in delivering services to our clients.



• Collaborate with consultants to support various compensation projects by gathering, organizing,

analyzing, and interpreting data to prepare reports and presentations to deliver to client

• Gather and organize data from clients to participate in annual compensation salary survey

• Participate in job analysis and documentation process to develop job description

• Collaborate with consultants and clients to benchmark jobs against survey data and then conduct

relevant market pricing of job

• Analyze data to assist in developing salary structure

• Administer various client compensation programs including merit, bonus, etc. in accordance with

client service agreement

• Generate and distribute various weekly reports to clients in accordance with client service

agreement

• Aids in the design, development and enhancement of custom wage and benefit surveys, including

analysis and result

• Assists with impact analysis assessment of current compensation levels and pay mix relative to the

external market

• Study currents compensation trends and education through classes, reading, online learning and

other resources to increase knowledge

• Performs other responsibilities and duties as needed

Requirements:

• Desired proficiency in Power Point presentation and Word including mail merge to maximize

project efficiency

• Ability to create pivot tables and write formulas including Vlookup, Xlookup, Index, etc. in Excel

• Ability to work in large excel files (20,000 rows of data or more) to manipulate data and analyze

data and summarize reports and presentation

• Effective communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to correspond using proper

grammar

• General presentation skills and ability to read audiences

• Effective customer service, communication, and project management skill

• Basic understanding of applicable federal, state and municipality laws and regulations related to

compensation program

• Basic understanding of financial term

• General aptitude for compensation terms and principle

• Basic knowledge of HRIS/Compensation Administration tools and how to perform functions

accordingly

• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential information and situations with tact and

diplomacy, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism on all

matter

• Ability to manage time, client specific deliverables, and deadlines with limited supervision

• Ability to prioritizes daily responsibilities with the ability to multitask between multiple clients.

• Ability to understand when to proceed alone and when to involve other

• Ability to work both independently and in a fast-paced team environment

• Overcome obstacles by addressing problems professionally and in the right forum

• Seeks resolution to basic client question

• Effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with others to develop and foster

relationships including internal team/ department member
