Pay

This position is an exempt position at pay grade 212.

Attendance

Non-rotating 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Overview

Provide comprehensive, professional Human Resources support to internal and external customers by ensuring compliance with City policies and procedures. Administer the compensation plan, process personnel and position changes, conduct job analyses, evaluate and develop job descriptions, maintain position control, conduct market surveys, and apply research market data.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to City departments on policy and procedural matters for all divisions of Human Resources.

• Assist in City wide training programs as related to compensation and classification.

• Administer the compensation plan and process personnel and position changes.

• Conduct job analyses and evaluate and develop job descriptions.

• Maintain position control in conjunction with individual City departments and Office of Management and Budget.

• Verify and approve hiring requisitions in HRIS.

• Review requests for job reclassifications, pay equity and adjustments.

• Process salary adjustments and performance pay increases.

• Approve and cross validate entries and information from HR divisions in HRIS.

• Determine labor market competitiveness by conducting market analysis pay studies and report data.

• Conduct and answer requests for salary surveys as needed.

• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)

• Four (4) years of related experience

• A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Basis of Rating

Applications will be reviewed as they are received. A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications and may request additional information and the city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
