Position Summary
The Constituent Services Specialist plays a pivotal role in engaging with constituents, managing online interactions, drafting correspondence, supporting social media content creation, and overseeing special initiatives such as the Ohio Business Spotlight program. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Monitoring and Responding to Online Community Interactions:
• Under the supervision of the Director of Constituent Services and in coordination with the Communications team, actively monitors and responds to online community interactions across various social media platforms.
• Tracks comments and feedback from constituents and stakeholders, compiling data and developing regular reports for dissemination to key staff for analysis and action.
• Constituent Assistance and Call Handling:
• Answers and screens incoming calls, providing information and assistance to constituents on matters pertaining to the office's jurisdiction and services.
• Provides responsive and courteous customer service, addressing constituent inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Correspondence Management and Drafting:
• Researches issues raised by constituents and drafts personalized responses to incoming correspondence, including emails, letters, and messages received through various communication channels.
• Prepares commendations, notes, letters, and other written materials for public dissemination, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established guidelines and protocols.
• Social Media Content Creation and Management:
• Assists with the creation of consistent and meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts.
• Works collaboratively with the Communications team to develop engaging content strategies aimed at improving constituent engagement and fostering community dialogue.
• Assistance with Communications and Special Projects:
• Assists with various communications and constituent service tasks as needed, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the office's operations.
• Supports special projects and initiatives, providing administrative and logistical support as assigned by the Director of Constituent Services.

• Required Qualifications:
• Four Year degree
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Communications experience
• Internships or experience working in government.
• Professional writing experience - Submit one page sample with application.
• Customer service experience - At least one year
