Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Consulting, Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do
Manage the creation of innovative and transformative technology solutions for clients that address their next generational needs. Oversee effective visions, strategies, and roadmaps, in direct alignment and support of business and technology objectives for clients within Financial Services Industries. Manage delivery of payments content experience across the payments processing, acquiring, and gateway sectors of the industry. Manage client advisory on debit, credit, ach, wire, check, prepaid, and emerging methods of business to business and business to consumer payments. Manage vendor assessment for content management of financial services companies by creating vendor selection framework, conducting demos, roadmapping, and pricing assessment. Manage engagement planning and budgeting by defining deliverable structure, content and delivery while managing risks and quality of delivery. Oversee proposal development and contribute to the development of pricing strategies for existing project extensions and new opportunities. Perform role of counselor and coach, actively participating in staff recruitment and retention activities, and providing leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Manage and lead the project team to prepare overall engagement strategy, define project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Drive end-to-end project execution ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Lead and facilitate client meetings, serve as liaison between business and technology stakeholders. Monitor risks and oversee the impediments related to the project and work on mitigation strategies. Develop progress reporting, analytics and dashboards for executive leadership. Assign duties, responsibilities, and span of authority to project personnel. Oversee the quality of deliverables and provide leadership to the team driving exceptional performance. Use decision-making authority to determine pricing, timing and resource needs for each engagement; screen and select practitioners for staffing opportunities. Monitor budget versus actual results of job economics to direct real-time adjustments and perform billing to clients. Provide leadership, direction, and subject matter expertise, including leading the innovation of ideas, overseeing new client business development and managing relationship with senior client leadership. Drive firm's growth by leading the development of market strategy and proposal documents. Make staffing decisions, including hiring and firing, conduct compensation review and make recommendations concerning promotions and salary increases. Evaluate and present the performance of subordinate engagement personnel at mid-year and year-end performance evaluations and meetings. Mentor, coach and guide junior resources to develop their skills, plan workloads, discuss productivity goals and help them excel in client engagements and firm contributions
  • 50% Travel required nationally.

Requirements
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, any STEM field, or a related field. Must have 3 years of related work experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of progressive related work experience. Position requires 3 years of related work experience in each of the following:
  • Driving the creation of innovative and transformative solutions for clients within the Financial Services Industry, utilizing peer group analysis & benchmarking, thought leadership on technology trends, industry-specific strategic considerations, and technology transformation leading practices;
  • Participating in teams that provide organization leaders with the capabilities and tools to build flexible, innovative business models, utilizing primary and secondary research, industry value chain analysis, capability maps, industry reference architecture, and enterprise data management strategy;
  • Participating in day to day interactions with executives and sponsors, and developing and maintaining contact with top decision makers;
  • Leading the Quality Assurance (QA) for client's deliverables including current and target state assessment, business applications and enterprise architecture, voice of the customer, execution roadmaps, and management / leadership reporting per business specifications and agreed timelines;
  • Utilizing applications outsourcing and vendor selection assessment, agile delivery planning methodologies to oversee scalable and available designs to provide technical solutions;
  • Working across phases of the client's large scale technological, organizational and data transformation journeys, including plan, design, develop, implement and operate phases providing strategic solutions for enterprise-level clients;
  • Overseeing project management frameworks including program charters, roadmaps, executive status reporting, resource planning, RAIDD (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Decisions) logs, and RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrix to help clients optimize and maintain applications to maximize Return on Investment (ROI); and
  • Transforming and visualizing data, evaluating business processes, and drawing insights from analysis for purposes of developing solutions for client challenges, utilizing capability benchmarking / assessment, business intelligence & data analytics, cost benefit analysis (CBA), data sourcing and consumption analysis.
