Description

  • The Employer Relations Coordinator will provide work-based learning opportunities to all High School campuses through a vast array of Industry Partners that wish to engage with High School students through a number of engagement opportunities as well as Internships and Employment Opportunities.
  • This role will engage with the various High School campus personnel that are tasked with engaging with students to ensure that the students are WorkReady. It will be necessary for the Employer Relations
  • Coordinator to continually acquire, develop, cultivate and maintain strong Industry Partner relationships through the various employers in the region.
  • Coordinate the Workforce Development and Employer Relations department initiatives with Industry Partners across all High School Programs in the District, including Career and Technical Education (CTE), Pathways in Technology for Early College High School (PTECH), Early College High School (ECHS) and CHOICE schools.
  • Research, acquire, develop and sustain strong relationships with companies (Industry Partners) that are or will be engaged at the campus level with students in the District in the High School setting in support of the above programs.
  • Build strong relationships and support High School campus personnel, including but not limited to Coordinators, who are engaged with students in career exploration and pursuit activities.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data on program and participant outcomes, including partnership metrics.
  • Stay abreast of the changing labor market demands by being in tune with current labor market data to advise on the career choice paths available in high growth, high demand, high wage occupations in the region.
  • Design, develop and implement quality training and professional development experiences for High School campus personnel that are engaged with students pursuing careers.
  • Coordinate with campus personnel and Industry Partners, the implementation of Career Connected Learning experiences to include, for example, industry tours, project-based learning activities, internships, practicums, mentors, guest speakers, or other activities as provided by the industry partner.
  • Ensure compliance with the use of SalesForce to manage all industry partner experiences with supported campuses.
  • Assist with the ideation, creation and deployment of events that involve multiple students, campus personnel and industry partners.
  • Engage with external organizations that will facilitate the placement of students in internships and employment.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • 5+ Direct Third-party relationship management.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with other district departments in a shared services model.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a team; ability to take initiative and be self-directed, ability to network and build business and industry partner relationships, an innovative and curious mindset.
  • Knowledge of careers and District Programs of Study to support the acquisition of Industry.
  • Partners and their respective engagement with campuses.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google.
  • Forms and Adobe Suite with a desired proficiency in SalesForce.
