Under the guidance of the Team Facilities Manager (USA), the Team Facilities Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the overall operational readiness of state-of-the-art facilities for teams and referees, in particular training sites (base camps and venue-specific facilities) for the FIFA World Cup 26 and the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™.

These roles will be regionally based, applicants must be willing to be onsite.

THE POSITION
The Team Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for:
  • Operational planning at Team Base Camps (Team Base Camp Training Sites and Team Base Camp Hotels) and venue-specific facilities (training sites and team hotels);
  • Ensuring appropriate contracting of all training sites and pairing them with the team hotels;
  • Leading cross-functional interaction with all member associations and other stakeholders (Host Cities, club and training site owners, etc.) involved in operations across all team and referee facilities;
  • Overseeing the provision of infrastructure and team site management and maintenance;
  • Contributing into the Team Base Camp brochure with provision of adequate information, updating the brochure on regular basis;
  • Preparing, coordinating and accompanying participating member associations and clubs on Team Base Camp inspection visits;
  • Preparing and coordinating team facilities inspection visits;
  • Participating in the operational planning of Team Base Camps cycles representing team and referee services;
  • Coordinating preparation of maps and drawings for team and referee training sites and hotels (including security perimeters, parking allocation, media facilities, etc.);
  • Working closely with Accommodation team to define team areas within Team Base Camp Hotels and Venue-Specific Team Hotels;
  • Leading preparation and implementation of readiness exercises (simulation exercises) at Team Base Camp Hotels at Team Base Camp Training Sites with all member associations involved;
  • Representing Team Services at all infrastructure meetings and inspections;
  • Closely monitoring the readiness and delivery of training sites before the beginning of the exclusive period;
  • Management of short-term staff and volunteers within assigned geographical area; and
  • Operating the most challenging facilities and acting as the Team Services Venue Officer during the tournament time (management and issue escalation of the assigned facilities).


YOUR PROFILE
Education and qualifications
  • University degree in appropriate subject (or adequate training/vocational education).
  • Excellent customer service experience.
  • Able to manage a group of people working on the same projects and as required, coordinate
  • People in other functional areas to contribute to projects.
  • High energy levels, exceptional planning and organizational skills, strong negotiation and facilitation skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, positive relationship management abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a demanding and changing environment.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to and work well with people of other cultures and backgrounds.
  • Able to hire, coach, appraise and retain experienced and less experienced employees.
  • Knowledge of event planning - any event project management process is an added benefit.
  • Excellent ability to work under pressure.

Work experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in sports event and facilities management, ideally in similar position.
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects, including pre-event planning and event implementation.
  • Extensive and well-founded knowledge of international football or other sports, as well as of training facilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of the local culture and facilities in the United States.
  • Extensive and well-founded knowledge of event and competition operations.

Languages
  • Must be fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of FIFA's other official languages (French, German, Spanish) or any other languages is desirable.

Technology
  • Strong administrative and IT skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
