Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities
- Holds primary responsibility for managing the school's course catalog.
- Holds primary responsibility for editing and production of the school bulletin.
- Manages all aspects of preparation, administration, and distribution of course evaluation surveys.
- Assists with promotion and tenure processes, including solicitation of external letters, management of workflows, and other administrative support.
- Supports enrollment management for student academic appointees in applied departments.
- Supports the School of Music Council and Instructional Policy Committee as requested through facilitation of document workflows and minutes for meetings.
- Assists as needed throughout the year with various administrative tasks supporting the Associate Deans (including but not limited to: faculty evaluations, studio assignment meetings, new faculty orientation, compilation of materials for faculty awards, accreditation matters, enrollment reporting, and faculty file management).
- In coordination with educational leadership, faculty, and/or staff, designs curriculum for students, courses, degree programs, or schools.
- Consults with faculty to determine curricular needs and identify gaps; creates course objectives and outcomes to reach targeted learning.
- Reviews proposals to modify existing course curriculum and create new courses; ensures accuracy of information and determines whether proposal aligns with standards and objectives for the course.
- Assists with preparation and dissemination of course materials, such as course syllabi, textbook selection, course packs, and other related materials.
- Performs evaluation and assessment activities, ensuring consistency across purview, including observation of courses, preparation of course evaluation results, development of reports and outcomes for accreditation review, and analysis of feedback from faculty regarding curricular outcomes.
- Manages curriculum mapping process.
- May make process recommendations to manager for improved operational efficiency.
