Under the supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II (IT Sup II), the Service Center Associate (ITA) provides IT support for the California Military Department (CMD) staff by prioritizing and processing user requests and resolving issues in a timely manner. Duties include project, workstation, application, and network support activities necessary to ensure successful delivery of services to the customer. The ITA will provide prompt and courteous service for support requests. Recording and tracking all support issues within ServiceNow, the Service Center ticket management system. The ITA must maintain confidentiality of information acquired while performing job duties, demonstrate ethical behavior, and work cooperatively with others.

Department Information
As an employee of the CA Military Department (CMD), you are required to perform the "essential functions" of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. You are expected to work cooperatively with all internal/external staff, to provide the highest level of customer service possible while meeting the CMD mission. All employees are required to treat others fairly, honestly, and with respect.
The CMD has free parking; a free gym on-site for employees; and conveniently located within a few miles of major shopping centers, including many restaurants.
Persons employed at the California Military Department must be a United States Citizen (or naturalized citizen) and able to pass a background investigation and LiveScan fingerprinting.
*This position may/may not be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the CMD and based on the current telework policy. While the CMD supports telework where possible, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.
Training and Development (T&D) assignments may be considered based on the availability of eligible candidates and are subject to approval by the Hiring Authority prior to appointment. T&D assignments are considered limited term up to 12 months and may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
Special Requirements
Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment.
