The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Department of Biostatistics seeks a data analyst to assist in development of causal inference methods for multivariate longitudinal and time-to-event data and application of such methods in the analysis of life-course observational studies of Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias.

Responsibilities
  • Attend lab meetings; meet with collaborators at Columbia University; submit paper proposals for data acquisition; assist with development of methodology; conduct simulation studies; perform data analysis; assist in the preparation of grants applications and progress reports; and assist with preparation of manuscripts for publication purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of data analytic and statistical analysis experience. Advanced education/degree may substitute for experience.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in statistics or biostatistics is preferred.

Other Requirements
  • Proven ability in SAS, R, and STATA.
