Job Description

The Data Integration Analyst will play a key role in analyzing, designing, documenting, and implementing data imports and exports. This role serves as a technical and business liaison, focusing on the Virginia Tech advancement system solution and electronic database management system. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of data integration, data analysis, and database management with specific proficiency in Blackbaud CRM and other related software.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze new and existing data sources to ensure proper importing of data into Blackbaud CRM.
• Provide support for data integration interfaces between various campus applications and Blackbaud CRM.
• Design, document, and implement data import and export processes.
• Collaborate closely with various teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Maintain the integrity and security of data within the systems.

Job Duties
Data analysis and integration (40%):
• Analyzing new and existing data sources for importing data into Blackbaud CRM.
• Supporting data integration interfaces between various campus applications and Blackbaud CRM.
• Identifying and resolving data integration issues.
• Ensuring data integrity and security within the systems.

Designing and implementing data processes (30%):
• Proactively designing and optimizing data import and export processes to ensure seamless data flow and efficiency.
• Documenting data integration procedures and workflows.
• Implementing data import solutions to meet business requirements.
• Collaborating with teams to translate business requirements into effective data solutions.

Technical Proficiency (25%):
• Utilizing MS SQL Server for data analysis and manipulation.
• Using BrightVine Data Loader (BVDL) software for data integration tasks.
• Leveraging Blackbaud SDK and Visual Studio for system customization and development.
• Familiarity with GitLab for version control and collaboration.

Communication and collaboration (5%):
• Liaising between technical and business teams.
• Communicating effectively through oral and written channels.
• Collaborating closely with various teams to understand and address business requirements.
• Providing support and guidance to stakeholders regarding data integration processes.

Position is eligible for telecommuting.
Criminal conviction check required.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the following: analyzing data sources for importing data into Blackbaud CRM; supporting data integration interfaces between various applications and Blackbaud CRM, utilizing both standard and custom-developed software; MS SQL Server; BrightVine Data Loader (BVDL) software; Blackbaud SDK and Visual Studio.
• Familiarity with GitLab.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively liaise between technical and business teams.
