Minimum Qualifications Summary

Certification & Education

• MS Certified Power BI Data Analyst
• Bachelor's degree in Data Visualization, Information Systems, Business/Operations or related field

Experience Required

• 3 - 5 years' experience in developing, interpreting, and making recommendations on dashboards, procedures, and assessing data for an organization, utilizing commercially available data analysis tools and data visualization tools, including PowerBI, and Excel.
• Strong understanding of the role of information technology infrastructure, information systems, and data architecture in supporting data science and data management programs
• Experience designing and developing dynamic dashboards/reports and interactive visualizations utilizing various reporting components from multiple data sources.
• Experience developing and designing presentations, reports, and other deliverables to summarize findings for key stakeholders and executive leadership, communicating with both technical and non-technical team members.

Job Objective

The DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) Business Analysis Office is seeking a Data Visualization Business Operations Specialist in support of its multi-faceted goals to: (1) Fuse the competencies FLETC students need to perform effectively in their operating environment with the production of FLETC training, training products, training systems, training infrastructure, training research, and training expertise. (2) Enhance FLETC's capability and capacity to identify, to reach, and to serve its client base. (3) Goal 3: Fuse FLETC's planning for production capacity with its resource acquisition strategies, staffing plans, strategic plans, operating plans, and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop dashboards and reports based on data sets.
• Support data quality improvement efforts across the Enterprise.
• Provide analytical support to projects, taskings, and process development/improvement efforts.
• Create/modify existing shared data lexicons, data models, data dictionaries, and other supporting documentation.
• Perform quality assurance on finished work products to ensure the effort captures all changes accurately and completely.
• Coordinate and communicate the status of changes to team members and leadership.
• Play a supporting role in all phases of the data management program.
• Attend meetings and provide input as needed.
• Provide weekly or monthly status updates as required.

Education & Certification

• Bachelor's degree in Data Visualization, Information Systems, Business/Operations or related field
• MS Certified Power BI Data Analyst
