Chipton-Ross is seeking a Database Administrator 4 for a hybrid (onsite/remote) opportunity in San Diego, CA.

MUST be local or relocate to San Diego or Long Beach, CA area. 100% REMOTE IS NOT AN OPTION.
This position is hybrid, starting 2 days a week and could grow to 3 or more days.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs, develops and maintains databases. Designs, implements and supports database backup, recovery systems, database migration and archiving systems and procedures. Develops and implements database security infrastructure and user access accounts. Collaborates with architects and technical specialists to identify proper hardware and software implementations. Plans, installs and tests software upgrades and patches. Monitors database performance trends to identify and correct problems. Designs, develops and maintains complex databases. Creates procedures for the design, implementation and test of database backup, recovery systems, database migration and archiving systems and procedures. Creates plans for the implementation of database security infrastructure. Consults with architects and technical specialists to identify proper hardware and software implementations. Plans, installs and tests software upgrades and patches. Provides input on organizational standards for database monitoring thresholds. Monitors performance trends to identify and correct problems.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
o MUST HAVE Min 8+ years' experience a must with HPE NonStop/virtual NonStop (either or) but both great to have.
o MUST HAVE SQL/MX experience a must.
o MUST HAVE Extensive experience with database design.
o MUST HAVE Strong understanding of relational databases.
o MUST HAVE Strong understanding of isolation and transaction concepts.
o MUST HAVE Detailed understanding of temporal databases (highly required, MUST).
o MUST HAVE Able to write complex queries.
o MUST HAVE Experience maintaining SQL/MX databases and creating them on demand.
o MUST HAVE Experience at disk management.
o MUST HAVE Experience with recommending Database Management Systems (DBMS) to leadership.
o MUST BE willing to work within a team.

EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
